Jordan is an experienced quality and food safety professional with a demonstrated history of working in the chemical manufacturing and construction industries. She is well versed in developing and managing programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to comply with quality and food safety regulatory compliance and certification requirements, and has extensive experience preparing for and leading audits, including ISO 9001 (quality), ISO/FSSC 22000 (food safety), vendor, and internal audits.

In addition, Jordan has experience with laboratory design and project management, hazardous materials management, water quality testing, and safety awareness. She further excels at leveraging information technology (i.e., Microsoft SharePoint®) to help manage compliance documents and requirements and training and mentoring personnel to lead audits and understand regulatory and certification requirements.

Prior to joining KTL, Jordan served in a number of quality and laboratory management roles. Highlights from Jordan’s previous experience include the following:

  • Refurbishing an ISO 9001 quality management system (QMS), including rewriting procedures, developing work instructions, retraining staff, implementing effectiveness checks on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), establishing resample and hold procedures for nonconforming products, and mentoring staff to conduct internal audits.
  • Acquiring FSSC 22000 certification for a food-grade hydrogen peroxide loading process, including conducting and coordinating Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) reviews, mock recalls, tabletop emergency response drills, internal audits, and water quality testing.
  • Migrating manual systems for CAPAs, lab results, customer feedback, return authorizations supplier approvals, maintenance repairs, and preventive maintenance to an electronic SharePoint compliance and document management system.
  • Developing safety culture by leading the Safety Committee, updating operations checklists to incorporate safety, creating seasonal safety toolbox talks, initiating improvements to the safety observation program, implementing housekeeping checklists and procedures, and coordinating hazard waste pickups.
  • Leading successful ISO 9001 surveillance and recertification audits and conducting numerous ISO 9001 internal audits.
  • Championing a cost-reduction project to rework nonconforming product and to scrap unsalvageable material with the appropriate waste handlers.
  • Writing SOPs for laboratory testing following ASTM/PSTC standards and developing supporting quality programs (e.g., quality sampling, out-of-specification (OOS) investigations, and corrective action reporting).
  • Implementing a third-party inspection program with overseas vendors to improve factory compliance.

Jordan has her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Olivet Nazarene University. In addition, she holds the following credentials:
