His consulting experience is focused on developing information technology (IT) solutions for KTL’s customers. He specializes in implementing technology—ranging from software selection, to audit system design, to custom database creation—to increase business efficiency and foster positive returns.
Evan helps clients develop, automate, and improve management and compliance information systems and optimize them to reduce costs and improve performance. He has developed numerous cloud-based applications that KTL uses to deliver their solutions to clients, including compliance auditing, regulatory change management, and environmental construction permit management.
Evan is also the Lead Developer and Project Manager for KTL’s implementation of our dynaQ compliance software to support various industry and government audit programs. He provides software customization services, training, and technical support to dynaQ users and project teams. He led the implementation of the dynaQ software for the Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), the DOI U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and the Department of Health & Human Services National Institutes of Health (NIH). As part of these projects, Evan led the team’s efforts to integrate the federal and state TEAM Guide audit protocols or client-specific audit protocols into dynaQ and provided onsite training and support to audit team members and client auditors.
Evan has experience working with many types of industries, including government, railroads, utilities, chemicals, manufacturing, construction, and foods. In addition to managing a wide variety of IT projects, a sampling of Evan’s EHS project highlights include the following
- Assisting a large foundry company in the design, implementation, and certification to ISO 14001 for multiple facilities
- Assisting with the design of a one-year and five-year strategic EHS plan, including the design of a project rating/ranking tool
- Assisting a large utility in the design, implementation, and completion of a PCB-containing asset inventory system that allowed for the completion of 500+ audits to be conducted in a three-month time period
- Developing the web-based architecture that KTL uses to design and document ISO 14001 EMS
Prior to joining KTL, Evan worked at RMT, Inc. as an environmental engineer. He was instrumental in the company’s execution of several large-scale contaminated site cleanups that were often completed at-risk to the company, a position that made proper execution critical.
