Stacey brings to KTL 25 years of experience working as a communications professional exclusively in the areas of environmental, health & safety (EHS); food safety; and renewable energy. She has developed a comprehensive understanding of this subject matter that allows her to effectively add value to projects and turn technical information into meaningful content.
Stacey provides communications consulting, strategy, and tactics to KTL clients in a variety of ways to help respond to business needs. She excels at conducting research and building comprehensive content that accurately reflects the client’s objectives. She also has experience reviewing documents to ensure 508 compliance. Some of Stacey’s projects include the following:
- Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting – Developed and created sustainability policies, mission statements, and CSR reports for international clients across a number of industries. Outputs include published CSR reports, employee policies and procedures, internal and external website content, and company annual report content.
- Client publications – Wrote, edited, managed, and/or contributed to numerous client publications and other deliverables, including various newsletters; communications to regulatory agencies; plans (e.g., Emergency Response, SWPPP, SPCC); reports (e.g., due diligence, site assessment, environmental compliance); and guidance documents.
- Procedure and program development – Developed policies, procedures, and related communications, including management system (e.g., food safety, safety, environmental, quality) procedure development, communication rollout, and program documentation.
- Training content – Developed content for the NACD University Responsible Distribution online training courses; edited content for KTL’s external and custom client training programs related to EHS and food safety training topics.
- Template design and development – Developed formats and templates for policies, procedures, reports, presentations, guidance documents, newsletters, and other deliverables.
Stacey’s marketing expertise spans all facets of internal and external marketing and communications, including executive communications, brand management, public relations, website design/management, digital marketing, social media, newsletter development, change communications (e.g., mergers/acquisitions/divestitures), promotional campaigns, and copywriting/editing for various media. She excels at leading and managing marketing initiatives to grow KTL’s brand recognition and client base.
Prior to joining KTL, Stacey worked as a Senior Copywriter/Content Specialist for a Texas-based environmental consulting firm. She was responsible for establishing and maintaining brand standards for all company branches and ensuring that the brand was accurately portrayed in written materials. She developed high-level positioning statements for business units, and provided writing, messaging, and editing for various websites, advertising, training materials, emails, direct mail, and other marketing collateral. She established the company’s first internal newsletter and led the launch of the company’s social media efforts, creating strategy and messaging for Facebook and Twitter.
Previously, Stacey held the role as a Senior Communications Specialist, where she managed internal and external communication efforts for an environmental consulting and renewable energy engineering and construction company. She developed brand messaging and managed brand identity, successfully implementing two logo redesigns. Stacey wrote and edited quarterly print and electronic newsletters, wrote and edited promotional materials to sell services and products, and managed the company Internet and Intranet design and content, including overseeing four redesigns of company websites. In this role, she also provided strategic communication support on a number of client projects, particularly related to CSR and sustainability reporting.
Stacey has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Communication – Public Relations emphasis, with minors in Technical Writing and French.
