In his 40 years as a consultant, Mark has assisted clients in the metals, commercial solid waste, pulp and paper, and petrochemical industries with environmental systems optimization, EHS strategic planning, contaminated asset liability management, merger/acquisition due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.

Mark is a strategic business and project manager with a focus on developing systems to create operational efficiencies. He has specialized expertise in:

  • Providing systems optimization, strategic planning, asset liability management, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration
  • Developing technical, regulatory, and business strategies
  • Streamlining and integrating EHS programs with business and production operations
  • Managing and providing strategic direction on large, multi-site programs with 100s of contractors for KTL’s largest clients

Mark has led services involving RCRA compliance, hazardous and solid waste facility design and permitting, implementation of corrective action programs, and development and implementation of environmental management programs. In short, Mark helps companies streamline and integrate EHS programs with business and production operations, while reducing the cost of operations and regulatory compliance.

Prior to founding KTL, Mark held a variety of management positions with RMT, Inc., a national environmental engineering and consulting firm. These positions included President of the company’s Northern Region, Executive Vice President of Operations, and President of the overall corporation. As company president, Mark had profit and loss responsibility for an organization with 25 offices in the U.S. and Mexico, and gross annual revenues of $90 million. Mark was instrumental in RMT’s acquisition of five companies and was responsible for the integration of these acquired companies into the corporate operating structure. This extensive management background allows Mark to bring a strong perspective to helping industrial companies achieve their EHS objectives.
